Friday Restaurant Review

In March we started this column for the business travelers out there. When you’re out of town it’s a chance to try new food and possibly meet some new friends in the process. Make sure to check out our Pinterest page which adds restaurants each week. Check out the ones that we have selected for you this month… Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House is as good as it gets when it comes to steaks. For starters check out the creamy and crunchy Cheesesteak Eggrolls, delicious Crab Cakes or the Seared Tuna Salad. We could break down their meat market, but truth be told, any steak you get on this menu will be amazing. It just depends what type of cut you like.

They have multiple locations throughout the United States: Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Fort Worth, Houston, Las Vegas, New York and Philadelphia.

Gibsons Chicago
Gibsons Chicago

Gibsons in Chicago is another great steakhouse. This place is really neat because they have a patio area to eat and the walls are covered in signed photographs from athletes, politicians and movie/rock stars. The steaks are also cooked in a unique methodology of lasers which chars the meat more effectively. Portions are very big, in family-style dishes so no one will leave hungry.

They have three locations, all in Illinois: Chicago, Oak Brook and Rosemont.

Puritan & Co., Cambridge, MA
Puritan & Co., Cambridge, MA

Puritan & Co. in Cambridge, MA cooks classic American cuisine with a New England flare. This restaurant is not as flashy as the previous two we mentioned, so if you’re looking for a laid back atmosphere this is where you want to be. The pricing is decent and the wait staff is incredibly polite and prompt which will make everything that much better. There is a wide range of assortment on the menu, but you can check that out on their website (link above).
