In terms of production, yesterday was a very slow day across America. Financial reports and Excel sheets took a back seat to corner kicks and a soggy field. Employees were sitting in conference rooms, but not for a meeting, it was to watch the contest between our beloved United States soccer team against Germany. Although we didn’t win yesterday, we are at least moving on to the Round of 16 in the World Cup. Sitting there waiting for us is Belgium, a very talented team ranked #11 in the world, who we’ll play on Tuesday at 4PM EST.
This is more than any of us soccer fans and patriots could’ve ever imagined. Going into the “Group of Death” the United States was expected to do no more than maybe make a close match once out of the three games. If you’re an American and you’re not all aboard this US soccer train, there’s still plenty of room for you.
